Alan is best known for co-creating the highly successful children’s music series Beautiful Creatures with Ed Jordan. They have released seven albums and have achieved two platinum and four gold albums in South Africa, and have been acknowledged by the music industry with two SAMA nominations as well as the South African theatre industry with a Naledi award for best children’s production in 2010. They have also released five children’s books. During the 2010 World Cup, they co-produced a stage production of ‘Beautiful Creatures’ with Hazel Feldman at Montecasino’s Teatro Theatre, which attracted over 20 000 people. They are also represented on Itunes throughout the world. Beautiful Creatures has been designed to be parent friendly children’s music and has a strong education, conservation and environmental message. Alan, Ed and Paul Choritz co-founded a record label under which they manage the Beautiful Creatures brand. Alan’s career began writing and performing with the acclaimed accapella cabaret group "Not the Midnight Mass" in 1988. The group was acknowledged by the entertainment industry with awards such as the prestigious Dalro Cabaret Revue Award, Evening Post Award and a Vita nomination. In 1992 he co-founded the innovative media, advertising and marketing company GMR Transit Media. In 2001 he and his partners sold the business to Corpcom / Clearchanel International. He subsequently started Alan Glass Production (Formerly Sprocket Productions), a corporate communications consultancy, which specializes in Event Production, Brand activation, TV and Radio production, and Industrial Theatre. Clients have included Alexander Forbes, Proctor and Gamble, Metlife, MARS, Snickers, Eskom, First National Bank, Cell C, Discovery Health, Mecer, National Brands, Multichoice, Collect a Can, Bosch, Investec, CITES ,and many more. Apart from his singing voice, he is also known for numerous TV and radio voice-overs, and for several years was a resident voice artist on KTV and Mnet. In 2009, Alan was commissioned to create a children’s story book, song and in-store content for an extensive brand campaign for Proctor and Gamble’s brand, Pampers. He has also written several other children’s stories as well as corporate songs. His latest children's book 'Olivers Outline' was published by Pan Macmillan.
